Have you ever find yourself in a situation of uncertainties and challenges where you feel like you’re at the edge of a cliff wanting to give up? I have.

If you feel like you are caught up with the pressures of life and going through some struggles, I want to share this small conversation I had with God which helped me express my thoughts and have that moment of pause to check where my heart is. We all need that time to be vulnerable with God. Take a pause. Stop what you’re doing. Make yourself available even for a minute where God can make himself real in your situation.

I hope this prayer becomes personal for you the same way it reconnected my heart to the Father.

Lord, You were there since the beginning. You have opened doors that no one else could ever do. You have closed the wrong doors to spare me from what could hurt or keep me from my destiny. You have guided me along the way, giving me the strength I need for each step I take. I have never seen a single moment in my life where you have failed me. You have always known what’s best for me.

Why do I still choose to doubt you despite of the great things you have done? Looking back, I realized You have never left me on my own. Even if it feels like You were silent, You were watching over me. You’re protecting me by surrounding me with your arms, fighting all my battles, defeating all my worries. Wait a minute, shouldn’t I be more confident about my future because of the victories You have shown in the past?

With all the promises you have planted in my heart, why will I let fear corrupt it? Your promises say, “Your grace is sufficient for my weakness.” “You will never leave me nor forsake me.” “Your plans are for my good and not for my harm.” “Your plan is to give me a future and a hope.” “Your love pursues me all the days of  my life” “You provide a table in the midst of my enemies” “Fear not, You have overcome the world”

When things get tough and out of my own control, I know You are still sovereign. You still have the final say and You will complete what You have started. You will fulfill Your promises according to Your timetable and with Your own ways. Remind me of my miracles so that I wont fail to trust You for what comes next. Remind me that You have a reason for this season I am going through. Let Your peace surround me and teach me how to submit under the current of Your grace. I choose to surrender even if I don’t understand. I choose to let go knowing You are in control. Use me in the best possible way to build Your kingdom, not letting anything to stop me from doing it.

With You, there’s no turning back. There’s only moving forward—from glory to glory. I set on a journey believing that it would lead me to my harvest and conquer the promises You have set before me. Everyday, I will take a minute and choose to seek You in the middle of the chaos and life’s pressure. I will wait on You in the middle of the storm knowing I can find stillness and hope in Your presence. 

Remember that God cares even with small things. Take the weight off of yourself and let Jesus carry it. Don’t let pride keep you from allowing God to do great things, making the burden lighter for you. You don’t always have to strive hard to get what you want. Why not let God have it His way so in that sense, it’ll actually be easier and will even turn out better than you expected. Don’t be afraid to trust Him with your life because God actually sees the whole picture. No doubt He knows what’s happening next.
