Not Letting Go

Day and night I’ll stick with God;
    I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.

9-10 I’m happy from the inside out,
    and from the outside in, I’m firmly formed.
You canceled my ticket to hell—
    that’s not my destination!

11 Now you’ve got my feet on the life path,
    all radiant from the shining of your face.
Ever since you took my hand,
    I’m on the right way.

Psalm 16:8-11 The MSG

Many times the enemy will try to shut us down, discourage us and make us feel empty. But do know that it’s all trick in which he places in our mind. He wants us to feel defeated and away from God. If you let him, you allow yourself to drown in his lies which eventually lead to your hopelessness and helplessness. But the moment you decide to fight it, to shake it all off, to change your mindset and fix it to God’s promises, you shut down all the attacks of the enemy. You stop him from polluting your heart and mind.

I have been struggling lately with homesickness which somehow wrestled with my mind and spirit. If I keep dwelling in my emotions, I will totally fall into depression but I choose to fight it. Depression, sadness, defeat and hopelessness have no room in my mind and heart. I choose to stand up and turn against the lies the enemies have been trying to throw at me. He will never win. God is on my side. I believe that everything I do for His kingdom and my willingness to follow His path is never in vain. I will not be discouraged. I will not be moved. I’m not letting go.

Remember that Satan will not rest unless he has deceived you or destroy you, therefore, always be on guard. And also, be rest assured that nothing can come against you because God is for you. Stick to God and don’t let anything move you. Don’t let go even in the darkest and hardest moments of your life. God is with you in the midst of it all.

He is our source of joy and strength. Choose to Stay connected to Him. He will never let go of your hand and He will continue to lead you to the right path. Be willing to entrust everything to God. He sees the bigger picture. And He loves you so much to disappoint you. He has the best in store for you.

Sincerely,

Abby Bern
