2-6 This is the way God put it:
“They found GRACE out in the desert,
these people who survived the killing.
Israel, out looking for a place to rest,
met God out looking for them!”
God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will.
Expect love, love, and more love!
And so now I’ll start over with you and build you up again,
dear virgin Israel.
You’ll resume your singing,
grabbing tambourines and joining the dance.
You’ll go back to your old work of planting vineyards
on the Samaritan hillsides,
And sit back and enjoy the fruit—
oh, how you’ll enjoy those harvests!
Jeremiah 31 The Msg
Nothing compares to the love that the Father has for us. His love is perfect and He will never quit loving us. His Grace is superabounding that we cannot even outrun it. And because of this, we can be sure that He wants the best for us. He desires for us to prosper and to be joyful in every way.
I love how Jeremiah 31 reminds us that there is hope for the hopeless, there is restoration for the broken and joy for those who mourned. Don’t get stuck in the past by dwelling on your heartaches or disappointments. Take a step forward towards the new things God has for you. Make a decision to let go of your burdens. Embrace God’s grace and let it release you from what’s stoping you from moving forward.
If the enemy stole your joy, your blessings and your worth, God will make it up for it. He can turn your situations around. Just as God promised, He will start over with your life. He will give you harvest in this new season which you will enjoy. God wants to give you life to the fullest. Your latter days will be greater than your former days.
In your desert–your dry season, your lack, grief, and pain, know that you can find God’s Grace sustaining you. In the midst of chaos, you can find Rest that comes from Christ Jesus. And no matter what you’ve been through in the past, it won’t even matter to the future God has for you. Remember that God has promised to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). God will restore the years that the enemy have stolen from you (Joel 2:25). Then what you had in the past will seem small compared with the great prosperity you’ll have in the future (Job 8:7).
Allow Jesus to rebuild your old ruins. Surrender your life, let go of your past and step forward to the future God has for you. Get ready for miracles, new beginnings, and receive grace upon grace today. God has the final say. He has won your battles. You are already victorious and redeemed. Stay in faith and always look to Jesus in every season.
Sincerely,
