7 Even though I walk into the middle of trouble,
you guard my life against the anger of my enemies.
You stretch out your hand,
and your right hand saves me.
8 The Lord will do everything for me.
O Lord, your mercy endures forever.
Do not let go of what your hands have made.
Psalm 138:7-8 (GW)
We all go through different walks of life where we tend to end up being in trouble or a situation that seems too unbearable to handle. You may be in a state where it feels like there’s nothing else you can do and you’re just tired of moving forward with life. Anxiety attacks you to the point of wanting to give up. If you think that you are by yourself as you are walking in trouble, know that God is present to help and guide you along the way.
Psalm 138 is such a great reminder that we have a God who is with us in every circumstances we may be facing. He is ever Present and has never forsaken us. Even if we sometimes feel that He is quiet, be assured that He is working behind the scene and has already gone before us. Just as Isaiah 43:2-3 says:
“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you.
I’ve called your name. You’re mine.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.
When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.
When you’re between a rock and a hard place,
it won’t be a dead-end—
Because I am God, your personal God,
In the midst of your battle, God is fighting it for you. Know that He is reaching out to you and is very much willing to lead you through your difficult situation. He is always there to protect you. He will do whatever it takes to keep you safe as He walks with you side by side, holding you with His right hand. If it seems that you’re in a dead-end, God will make ways–new roads for you to walk on.
See God as bigger than any of your problems. Don’t ever think that nobody cares. Remember that God loves you and He wants to get personal with you. “Turn all your anxiety over to God because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7). Pray to Him and enter His rest as you tell Him your situation with all honesty. He’s listening and He cares enough to answer you. Trust Him in the impossible for He is the God of Miracles.
Sincerely,
