4 So, Lord, bring back the good times,
like a desert stream filled again with flowing water.
5 Then those who were sad when they planted
will be happy when they gather the harvest!
6 Those who cried as they carried the seeds[b]
will be happy when they bring in the crops!
Psalm 126 (ERV)
We all go through a season where we have to make choices which lead to sacrifice. For me, leaving my home country and my family behind is one of the toughest decision I made in my life. He led me to a city where He wants me to be planted and grow. It may seem an easy task since I get to travel and explore, but it’s not always how it is. I am not exempted from the challenges of life.
We all experience pain, and sadness whenever we try to let go someone or something we treasure the most. It’s pretty much normal for someone who has emotions to cry and express one’s self. God knows our hearts. He sees us. It usually takes a lot of courage to surrender in His plans and do what He asks of you to do.
What is it that God is asking you to surrender right now? What is it He is telling you to do? He might be asking you to do these things so that you will learn to trust Him and grow in His love. Is He asking you to surrender your old habits? Is He is asking you to lay your hearts before Him and let Him be in control?
Know that when we give everything to Christ, whether it’s painful or difficult, He will make sure to turn every sorrow into joy. Whatever you decided to sacrifice and place in God’s hands will undergo a great exchange. He is faithful to turn those seeds of tears into a much greater harvest. He will reward you more than what you’ve let go of.
Seek God’s ways, seek His Kingdom as Matthew 6:33 says, and everything you need will be provided for you. Surrender to His will and He will see to it that you are well taken care of, that you have what you need and that you will be greatly rewarded. I can testify that when I surrendered and obeyed His plans for my life, I saw how God blessed me from one territory to another. There may be challenges but He is faithful to reward us and guide us in our everyday life.
Sincerely,
