Whenever we hear the phrase “God is Watching You”, the usual thought that comes to our mind is how God is watching our every single move, waiting for us to make mistakes. We are so afraid of God that we tend to hide away from Him or distant ourselves thinking that we displease God every time we make mistakes. Often times, we see Him as an angry God rather than a loving God. These are lies from the enemy wants to plant into our minds.
Psalm 121
I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth!
3 He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber.
4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel
never slumbers or sleeps.
5 The Lord himself watches over you!
The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
6 The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon at night.
7 The Lord keeps you from all harm
and watches over your life.
8 The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go,
both now and forever.
Reading Psalm 121 reminded me of how God watches over us because He wants to protect us and keep us from every harm. He is not after our failures and mistakes. He longs to save us from every plan of the enemy so that we won’t stumble. He never stops observing our every move not because He wants to punish us but because He loves us.
Think about how a mother stares to her new-born baby. She never wants to remove her sight from her child. She would take care of her baby, making sure she won’t get hurt and hungry. This is how God sees us. As a Father, His eyes have compassion towards us–His Children. He loves us so much that He never wants us to leave His sight. We are the apple of His eyes as the Bible puts it in Deuteronomy 32:
10 In a desert land He found him,
in a barren and howling waste.
He shielded him and cared for him;
he guarded him as the apple of his eye,
Know that God loves you and He is not after your faults, shortcomings, failures, weakness, and sin. The Father loves you so much that He was willing to give His Son, Jesus Christ so that we can receive forgiveness and be reunited with His Family. God the Father sees us just as He sees Jesus. He is pleased with you. In times of help, look to the Father. He desires to help you. He is reaching out His protection and love towards us. Stop running away from His Grace. Instead, surrender everything to God and receive His love, believing that He loves you no matter what.
Sincerely,
