Now, this is what the Lord says:
Do not be afraid, because I have reclaimed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
2 When you go through the sea, I am with you.
When you go through rivers, they will not sweep you away.
When you walk through fire, you will not be burned,
and the flames will not harm you.
Isaiah 41:1-2 GW
We all go through different seasons in life. As the Bible would say, “1There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: 4a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance” (Ecclesiastes 3:1,4) We live in a world where we aren’t really sure what tomorrow brings.
If we look at life, it’s not going to be easy as we hoped it would to be. We all have failed expectations, disappointments and heartbreak. We all go through the storm of life that will try to shaken the hope within us. We all have experienced difficulties, loss, and pain which makes it hard for us to stay in faith. We may not understand why God allows us to experience those challenges in life. But we need to remember that it’s not God’s way of punishing us. He is more after our character rather than our circumstances. He allows it to teach us to have our souls anchored to His strength.
I had seasons in my life where I wished I didn’t have to go through. But looking where I am now made me realized that I needed those situations to strengthen me. God allows us to go through raging seas, deep rivers, and fire to create calmness in our spirit. He wants us to learn how to be still and know that He is God in the midst of chaos. He wants to create such confidence within our hearts to the point of not being afraid of anything. And even if He allows us to go through all of it, He gives us the assurance that no harm can be done towards us for we belong to Him. God knows our name and He is with us no matter what.
We have to remind ourselves to trust Jesus despite how hard life can be. He loves us so much that He would not waste our tears nor our pain. He can turn our sorrow into joy. God is the God who makes things beautiful out of an ugly situation. He can use our tests to become our testimony. What the enemy intended for our harm, God can use it for our advantage. So when life seems to be difficult, trust that God is working something amazing out of it. Our victory is in Christ. Do not give up. Instead, stay in faith through the storm.
Sincerely,
