Comfort in My Sorrow

“Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.”

Psalm‬ ‭119‬:‭49-50‬ NIV

The enemy wants to feed you with lies and give you situation that will make you forget your worth. He wants to steal your peace, joy and comfort. He wants you to end up being restless, unhappy, hopeless and hurting. Don’t let him win over your mind. It’s only a matter of changing the way you think for you to change your perspective and your situation. Don’t dwell on what seems to be going wrong instead, find comfort in God’s promises in the midst of your sorrow.

As Psalm 119:50 says, “My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.” Let God’s promises be our strength, our reason to keep living a life with such hope and preservation. As long as we cling to God’s word, we remind ourselves of His great love. Therefore, we cause our hearts to have no room for worry, fear, sorrow, pain, doubt and intimidation.

Don’t let the enemy fool you with such lies that has no power over your life. Instead, embrace God’s promises and declare it over your sickness, your brokenness, your unbelief, your lack, your worries, your debts, your needs. Declare life over your hopeless situation. Focus on how God can work miracles on your behalf rather than how impossible the situation looks like.

Remind yourself of God’s promises such as “No weapon formed against you shall prosper”, “for Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” In the midst of this chaotic world, “Be of good cheer, for Christ has overcome the world” There are so many promises we can hold on to in the Bible. As long as we read it, declare it and believe it, the enemy has no power over us. Start your day by depending on God’s word and believing that your days ahead is greater than your past. God has the best interest at heart. You are important to Him that He will make sure to fulfill His promises over your life. Stay in faith and never give up on yourself.

Sincerely,
