25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:25-26 NIV
Everybody doesn’t want to be labeled as weak. We don’t want others to know that we have weakness and imperfections. We are too afraid for them to see us at our lowest. We try our best to pretend to be strong even if we’re not deep inside. We pretend to be happy even to the point when our heart fails.
Let me remind you that it’s okay to be weak at times. It’s okay to say “I don’t feel so good today.”, “I need help.”, “I’m not at my best as of now.”. Let’s admit it. We all have weaknesses and we are in need of help. We need Jesus. We need a Savior. We need a God who can give us strength that no else can give. Surrender everything to God.
God desires to help us even if we insist that we can do it on our own. We will never succeed in carrying all our burdens by ourselves. We need Jesus to carry it for us. Just as He said in Matthew 11:28-30, He can give us Rest as long as we come to Him.
28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
Matthew 11:28-30 The MSG
In moments that we fail and we are weak, know that we can come to God for strength. He will keep you company and will walk with you until the finish line. Don’t give up. Desire to be with Jesus always.
Sincerely,
